SmithBucklin, a 100 percent employee-owned association management company, is looking for a Human Resources Temp to join the Human Resources team in our downtown Chicago office. The HR Temp position will partner closely with the recruiters and other team members in Human Resources to follow and recommend improvements in HR processes. Qualified candidates will thrive in a fast paced, all hands on deck" environment and loves finding solutions to problems.
What You Will Do
Responsible for ensuring a positive onsite interview experience for all candidates.
Support our talent acquisition team with recruiting processes to include scheduling candidate interviews, organizing candidate travel arrangements, reserving conference rooms, setting up virtual meetings, hosting candidates when they come onsite and utilizing and updating the applicant tracking system (Jobvite).
Respond to candidate inquiries in a timely and professional manner and assist/coordinate any other candidate needs.
Manage all job posting efforts, including posting and renewing jobs on local universities, associations, professional groups, and diversity organizations, as well as managing the third-party vendor relationships.
Oversee aspects of our campus recruiting registration process.
Assist with the branding and promotion of SmithBucklins formal internship program.
Assist with ad-hoc projects and other administrative tasks as assigned within the Human Resources department.
Conduct tours with new hires on a weekly basis.
Act as main point of contact for employees participating in the company referral program.
Process all recruiting-related invoices and assist with managing the annual talent acquisition budget.

You are obsessive about the candidate experience. You are self-aware, detail-oriented, well-spoken on the phone and eloquent in emails. You are respectful of the candidate and the stressful process of the job hunt they are experiencing.
You are a utility player and are willing to help wherever and whenever needed.
At least 1+ year of experience in a corporate or office setting.
Enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program.
Interested in a Human Resources profession.
Strong communication skills, ability to influence and articulate a variety of issues to different audiences, tailoring messages accordingly.
Able to handle large volumes of varied tasks/data and react positively in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical and creative capable of flexing solutions to changing demand.
Highly motivated, energizing and inspiring others to seek higher levels of performance.
Savvy in talent acquisition systems and quick to pick up new technology and platforms.
