Responsibilities Req ID: 55911 The Government Relations Coordinator will facilitate connecting Allina Health leaders and employees to key external stakeholders in support of our mission and strategic initiatives. This positon is key to growing our capacity and programs to engage key internal and external stakeholders in public policy issues that impact our mission and operations environment. As the complexity of the health care policy and regulatory environment grows, it is essential that Allina Health's voice is a meaningful part of the conversation. The Government Relations Coordinator will support advocacy and engagement opportunities across all levels of government and across Allina Health. Support local, state and federal lobbying activities Work with Department Managers to assist with coordinating and tracking legislative activities in support of Allina Health. Provide additional day-to-day support during state legislative session. Coordinate and lead employee advocacy and engagement opportunities Lead advocacy institute, recruiting and engagement of Policy Action Network, civic education and engagement efforts (like GOTV), coordinate grassroots activities in support of policy campaigns. Support advocacy communications through channels like social media, internal communications and presentations. Enhance connections between Allina Health and policy makers through direct engagement Coordinate events, tours and other initiatives like Days at the Capitol. Support policy maker engagement with Allina community initiatives through awareness, education of our activities and invitations to attend events. Work with business unit and corporate service group leaders to generate opportunities for engagement that will deepen relationships and grow influence. Prepare research and briefing materials in support of leader engagements and key organizational priorities Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the policy and political environment in order to be able to better inform Allina Health on the issues environment, risks and opportunities.
