Cobham is seeking an IT Service Delivery Intern that willperform the installation, repair and preventative maintenance ofpersonal computer and related systems; assists in determiningsuitable software to meet user requirements; troubleshoots softwareand hardware failures and identifies network problems when theyrelate to personal desktop or laptop computers; performs theinstallation, modification, testing and servicing on allinternal/in-house data communications network equipment; assists inthe recommendation for improvements and the development of technicalstandards; performs work of entry level complexity. This position islocated in Plainview, NY.
Train with full-time team members to gain experience andskills and assist with IT projects
Collaborate in team meetings and activities.
Active Directory - add new systems to the network;unlock/reset user account passwords
Hardware; complete hardware installations, equipment moves;BIOS patches; hardware troubleshooting; desktop hardware supportof end user systems.
Software - install licensed software on workstations.
Provision/Deployments; Provision user workstations usingLANDESK provisioning utilities; imaging and inventory newsystems for stock; collect and dispose of obsolete equipment.
Security Patching; ensure user workstations are up to datewith all security patches currently reported as necessary perLANDESK (LDMS) and McAfee threat protection.
Ability to learn McAfee threat protection tools.
Maintain printers and contact vendors for printer repairs
Participate in safety training and comply with safety policiesand practices.
Improve and maintain 5S in your area; make suggestions forimprovements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience with customer service.
2 to 4 years personal experience or training in Desktop,Laptop, Printers, Microsoft Operating Systems and software.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple prioritiessimultaneously.
Experience in MS Applications and Operating Systems.
High school Diploma
Enrolled in college or technical school, seeking degree inComputer Science
US Citizenship or permission to work in the US.
Familiarity with Remote access a plus.
CompTIA A+ certification
