ID: 133958 Microns Corporate Accounting team, located in Boise, Idaho is offering a paid student internship during summer and potentially continuing on a part-time basis through the academic year. The internship program will immerse you in the high-tech semiconductor industry working with Finance high-performing teams to drive meaningful change in our organization. Through this internship, you will continue to expand your capabilities while being challenged with rigorous work and with the opportunity to grow your network. Your work will include a defined project directly supporting the organizations key initiatives. The Corporate Accounting team has prepared for you a project with defined objectives and an assigned mentor. You will receive feedback on your performance and will have a chance to showcase your project through a final presentation to the Finance leaders. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist with general accounting month-end closing procedures Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing Deliver analytical insights into business drivers and performance Assist with process optimization for more effective and efficient business processes Create innovative solutions to complex problems in accounting, compliance, and project management Collaborate and build partnerships across Finance Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned Learn how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company Substantiate results on assigned project through presentations and written reports Qualifications: Must be actively pursuing a Graduate Level or MBA course of study with emphasis in Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Economics or Accounting Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills, in a professional environment A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) Position is expected to be approximately 40 hours per week, but less during the academic year Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.
