The Media Coordinator position exists to work directly with the VP, Communications in creating and fulfilling media opportunities for Focus on the Family; this position supports the Communications team via daily administration of the Impact Intranet and offering administrative support to the Ministry Communications department, including financial-process support for The Community Roundtable. Also assists the Vice President of Ministry Values and the Director of Family Formation Studies with a limited number of administrative tasks. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Assists in a variety of administrative duties, including arranging meetings with outside constituency and media teams Serves as daily administrator of Impact Intranet, posting updates, responding to staff inquiries and coordinating content presentation with Director, Communications Inputs Jim Dalys daily blog, including pictures and links; enters weekly eBlast communication into Aprimo Assists with managing media interview opportunities, including pitching and follow-up to ensure prompt response and that deadlines are met Distributes promotion materials to media outlets in coordination with campaigns and initiatives Helps evaluate financial impact of local and national media coverage of Focus on the Family and all related brands and efforts on an as-needed/per project basis. Creates reports and crafts analyses of this coverage for use by the media team Assists Director of Communications with the Community Roundtable, including administrative support, financial software input and oversight and on-site support at meetings and events; and with Guest Services scheduling and staffing Is responsible for taking Community Roundtable board meeting minutes and distributing them to members Schedules various internal events and meetings with FOTF Events teams, including monthly chapels, management team meetings, Townhall meetings and blood drives Coordinates blood drive with Penrose-St. Francis Hospital - 3X a year Represents the Media Relations office on behalf of the VP to external constituents, including nationally known news media outlets and personalities Monitors administrative assignments and sets priorities for meeting deadlines; balancing supervisors and own workloads; adjusts work schedule to meet extra demands and or changing priorities Drafts internal and external correspondence, presentations, reports and forms Researches news articles, media entities, and issues of ministry concern on the Internet Assists VP in coordinating in-person campus press visits and out-of-state media events Assists with budget management Attends and assists with bi-monthly Doctrine meetings Maintains subscriptions for VP and various ministry personnel Other Duties/Responsibilities: Maintains ministry contact report Performs other duties, including but not limited to duties as assigned, some of which may include the development and creation of a variety of copyrightable works (e.g., print, photography, film, music, visual arts, etc.) for distribution in any and all media and formats (such as television, radio, internet, wireless, DVD, satellite and digital) on a world-wide basis, all of which shall be for the benefit of Focus on the Family Working Environment/Physical Requirements: Office environment JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Character/Spiritual: Exemplifies Ephesians 5:1-2, Therefore be imitators of God as dear children and walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us...
