Post Closing Specialist
POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The Post Closing Specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring the delivery of loan documents to the investors within the time frames established by the investor. Additionally, this position is also responsible for reviewing the documents in the file and putting them in stacking order to ensure the correct documents have been used and completed for the closing.
bull; High school diploma or equivalent required
bull; Previous experience in loan operations, loan servicing and/or loan documents preferred.
bull; Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Internet applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
bull; Sort all incoming mail to each department.
bull; Responsible for sorting out Hardcopy Loan files and adding into Intake Log Responsible for pulling all consumer mortgages that will be sent for recording.
bull; Responsible for pulling Secondary Market (Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae) original Note for filing and status the collateral received in Byte.
bull; Responsible for managing email notifications concerning all loans (Real Estate, Consumer and Commercial (loan sold to an Investor).
bull; Responsible for adding information into the Collateral Tracking system.
bull; Responsible for Secondary Market mortgage insurance (MI), as well as processing the payment, activating the certificate, and documenting the process into Byte.
bull; Responsible for recognizing and monitoring consumer mortgage loans.
bull; Registering MIN numbers on the MERS online system.
bull; Responsible for adding the MIN# into Horizon after the loan has been interfaced into the system.
bull; Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.
bull; Model and foster behaviors that support the Bankrsquo;s values and corporate culture creating an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability and dedication to the organization.
bull; Willingly performs other duties and projects as assigned.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
bull; This position will be expected to perform post-closing functions on an average of 200 files monthly. This recommendation assumes a moderate to high level of automation in the working environment.
bull; Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
bull; Must be self-motivated and also work in a team environment.
bull; Highly detail-oriented, high level of energy, and a strong sense of urgency.

bull; Flexible work schedule that will include some evenings, weekends and overtime work.
