EDS Technical Requirements Engineer Dearborn , MI 48120 Job Description: & Qualifications Job Description: Ford Product Development is utilizing Design Thinking & User Experience methods to deliver breakthrough products and services that will delight our customers. From autonomy and electrification, to smart mobility technologies, our Product Development teams around the world are working together with excitement to make smart vehicles for a smart world. Responsibilities: * Create, edit and maintain EDS SDS requirements; review interfaced and cascaded requirements and determine whether or not to accept them * Create and make available SDS reports on a regular basis (primarily EDS) * Keep track of the changes to EDS-owned requirements via the Version Changes document * Create snapshot spreadsheets of EDS SDS on a regular basis (currently every 2 weeks) and make available to wiring community (this allows them to determine what non-EDS-owned requirements have changed) * Create report of these changes (owned and non-owned requirements) and present in EDS/Connector Tech Club * Create, edit and maintain test methods * Create, edit and maintain design rules * Create, edit and maintain EDS specifications * Chair the EDS/Connector Tech Club meetings Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering * 1+ Years of Microsoft office experience (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.) * 1+ years of vehicle electrical system or functional knowledge of vehicle wiring system Preferred Qualifications: * Functional knowledge of vehicle electrical system or functional knowledge of vehicle wiring system both design and manufacturing. * Excellent communication skills (Oral, reading, writing and listening) * Outstanding technical writing skills * Ability to communicate and interact with others yet maintain strong stance on position Join our team as we create tomorrow!
