University Marketing at WCU oversees all marketing and advertising strategy for the institution, develops and maintains the Western Carolina University brand and messaging, supports and maintains the wcu.edu website, and provides support to units across campus as they work to meet unit-specific goals. University Marketings primary mission is to bolster institutional awareness and reputation in order to support student recruitment and stakeholder engagement.
This is a 11 month post-graduation, paid internship for recent WCU graduates only. This internship combines public communications and/or marketing related work, similar to work in an agency or public university setting. This position may assist in the following areas; branding and messaging, social media, direct mail advertising, promotional material development, design of print and digital projects, copywriting and editing external communications; assisting with web content in CMS as needed, assist marketing services manager in order to prioritize and manage multiple projects, project research, and other duties as assigned.
