As an organization with a budget size of $4.3 million, a staff team of 35 FTE and serving over 700 scholars and families, Rainier Scholars has established a positive brand for our unwavering commitment to education, proven success and sustainable impact. We grow new generations of diverse college graduates, career professionals and community leaders. Summary: The Development & Marketing Associate will provide coordination of development activities, donor data and communication efforts to support a comprehensive approach to individual giving. This position will serve in a lead administrative role in tracking and utilizing donor data, implementing key strategies and monitoring outcomes to meet development objectives and revenue goals. Additionally, the Development & Marketing Associate will help maintain our website with fresh, regularly updated content and help connect our constituents with relevant information and targeted communications. Responsibilities: Development (60%): ? In coordination with the Development Manager, provide lead role in gift processing, donor acknowledgement letters and daily donation communication to team. ? Manage program tour registration and follow-up. ? Provide administrative support for development tasks, with primary activities including fall and spring appeal campaigns, data tracking and reporting, annual report and donor events. ? Help manage effective guest tracking, registration and communication systems for the annual luncheon in support of successful audience development. ? Support communication efforts in targeting segmented audiences. ? Other duties, as assigned. Marketing (40%): ? In coordination with the Marketing and Communications Director, regularly update the Rainier Scholars website with fresh content and visual assets. ? Support the creation of bimonthly E-news and blog posts. ? Maintain and regularly update program outcome statistics and impact stories. ? Support alumni data management and outreach. ? Tag and maintain photos and videos in visual asset libraries. ? Track and report on website and social media analytics. ? Other duties, as assigned. The successful candidate will be able to: ? Prioritize time-sensitive and ongoing projects effectively, regularly communicating status and workflow implications. ? Take initiative, demonstrate resourcefulness and respond flexibly to changing work needs. ? Demonstrate strong organizational skills, a very high level of attention to detail and follow-through ? Show exceptional judgment and integrity, including maintaining confidentiality, as appropriate Qualifications: Required: * Bachelors degree * A minimum of three years demonstrated work experience in a fast-paced environment * Intermediate database experience (previous use of donor management software and/or CRM preferred) * Strong computer skills including proficiency in Outlook, Word, and advanced knowledge in Excel * Excellent planning and organizational skills (i.e. ability to organize, manage time, prioritize work and meet deadlines) * Ability to work independently and in a team environment with strong interpersonal communication, and excellent verbal and written communication skills Desired: ? Experience with eTapestry donor management software ? Familiarity with Wordpress or other website publishing tools ? Experience with non-profit fundraising and communications * Experience with high volume of data entry and reporting * Experience working in a diverse environment Description: 40 hours/week, salary dependent on experience and benefits are included. While most work is performed during regular office hours, some weekend and evening work is required.
