Hours: 10/week, part time The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA) is a non-profit organization that has served the Atlanta community for more than 100 years. Job Overview: Shalom Baby is designed to help Atlanta families (affiliated, non-affiliated, and interfaith) celebrate the arrival of their newborns and welcome them to the Atlanta Jewish community through play groups, social events, holiday celebrations, and resource guides.Types of programming include: Zumbini (music movement class), parent informational sessions (Kegels Bagels, Moms on Call, Sibling classes, etc), Holiday programming (Srochi Sunday, Passover car-seat cleanout, shabbat programs), and playgroups.The Shalom Baby Coordinator will manage outreach with current and future partners and collaborate with other MJCCA programmers while maintaining and creating programs for new parents and children ages newborn to 5 years old. Minimum Qualifications: Responsibilities and Duties: * Coordinate, plan and run ongoing programming, seminars, and classes * Handle registrations, rosters, and telephone/voicemail/email inquiries * Communicate with parents before and after each program * Work closely with Marketing Manager to create flyers, emails, and social media content. * Book rooms for programs, and work with manager to put programs on website through Traction Rec * Maintain budget and submit invoices for contractors * Substitute for playgroup if needed * Understanding of child development * 2+ years' experience working with families and children 5 and under * Work collaboratively with the Weinstein School and other MJCCA departments * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Word * A passion for the Jewish community and strong commitment to helping others * Knowledge of, and respect for, the mission of the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta Agency Information: Impacting more than 55,000 people annually, the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta is welcoming to people of all faiths, ages, and backgrounds.
