POSITION SUMMARY The LBMC marketing department is looking for an undergraduate marketing student in the Nashville area with an interest in marketing and social media. The ideal applicant will possess strong knowledge of the digital media landscape, including various social media sites. To qualify, you must be able to work 20-25 hours for a six month period. The days/times can be confirmed upon hire. This is a paid internship. PRIMARY DUTIES | RESPONSIBILITIES * Monitoring and improving the functionality of social media accounts that are already in existence * Posting event photos, blogs and articles, monitoring and responding to various posts * Researching keywords and creating engaging blog and social media content * Researching competitors' sites to identify marketing strategies * Performing techniques to optimize the existing content on the site and producing original optimized content for content library * Assist in the general distribution of press releases and media alerts * Assisting with event coordination including set up, tear down and sponsorship fulfillment. * General marketing projects QUALIFICATION | SKILLS * Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing preferred * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Experience with social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) * Self-starter, highly organized, detail-oriented, follows deadlines
