BASIC FUNCTION - SP+ is looking to develop marketing plans for existing parking locations under management. The chosen applicant will be given a marketing budget and will be accountable for the results of all money spent. Performance will be strictly based on the ROI of all marketing efforts. At the end of tenure, the chosen applicant will submit a comprehensive marketing plan customized to the locations assigned to him/her, outlining results and recommendations for future marketing efforts. The comprehensive marketing plan must be submitted within 2 weeks after end of tenure.
The chosen applicant will gain first-hand experience in the parking industry, with access to top executives and the full marketing staff.
Conduct market research that captures data on target market demographics, competitor initiatives, and industry trends.
Create overall marketing and advertising strategy
Create and send client/tenant letters (rate increases, sales letters, update letters to tenants, letters requested by the client).
Develop and maintain marketing collateral (brochures, flyers, handouts, signage, coupons and sales letters).
Coordinate, implement and manage various marketing initiatives (marketing programs, direct mailings, telemarketing campaigns, e-mail campaigns and web searches) to achieve business objectives.
Analyze marketing results/trends and make recommendations for improvement/implementation.
Research marketing media opportunities - print, radio, billboard, cross promotions, web site advertising and links.
No prior marketing experience required.
Current college student, majoring in Business or Marketing preferred.
Solid customer service skills are a must.
Computer literate to include Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Motivated self-starter who works well with minimal direction.
Must be able to work the minimum hours per week required for the term of the internship.
