The Marketing Intern will assist with a variety of tasks as a member of the in-house marketing team. They are responsible for managing a mix of projects from across the organization, as well as enterprising new ideas to meet the company's business objectives and tell the Summit story. Responsibilities The Marketing Intern will join a dynamic in-house creative team focused on promoting the Summit brand within the workers compensation insurance industry, as well as supporting company objectives related to insurance agents, employers and injured workers. Strategic initiatives include newsletters, email marketing, LinkedIn content, blogging and automated communication. The Marketing Intern will work as a member of the team to support these initiatives, contribute new ideas and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in the field of Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or similar Anticipated graduation date ranging from Spring 2020 to Fall 2020 Internship will take place during Fall 2019 The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and characteristics: Strong written & verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects Experience serving in a marketing function Strong organizational skills Social media marketing experience, specifically LinkedIn Publishing experience, particularly in writing, editing and interviewing Comfortable collaborating and working in a team environment Willingness to learn details about the workers comp insurance industry Design skills are welcome, though design opportunities are limited Position is paid and may also be eligible for college credit (depending on the requirements of the educational institution).
