Associate Trader Business Unit United Shore Location US-MI-Pontiac The Associate Trader will be required to cover a broad area of responsibilities within Secondary Marketing, which may include daily trading of pools and cash commitments, supporting the AOT & Gestation processes, entering trades into the risk management model and working with the modeler to maintain assumptions in QRM. Expected to perform multiple functions across the Secondary Marketing area, inclusive of routine operational work and trade support, with direct supervision. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Backing up the daily hedge process Real-time risk management by entering, checking and maintaining records of trades within the risk management system Supporting all trade-related activity, including setting up new investors and supporting any investor requests for information Starting and ending of day position reconciliation Assisting with trading whole-loan commitments Processing GNMA Gestation process & associated paperwork Learning proprietary methodologies and trading systems that support an established trading business Updating processes & procedures, creating work flows & enhancing documentation Overseeing and improve day to day processes as needed Assisting with the maintenance of the risk management (QRM) models Further responsibilities may be driven by the individuals interests and specific skills WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU Bachelors degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or applicable area Minimum 6mos-2 years related experience Beginner experience using Excel, with ability to utilize PIVOTs, vLookup, & other analytical functions Attention to detail and the ability to follow established processes Must be coachable, able to take direction and feedback and have a willingness to learn Onsite attendance is required THE PLACE & THE PERKS United Shore is a diverse group of over 4,000 mortgage experts, sales superstars, tech gurus, marketing whizzes and more.
