Supervisor, Production What Production Operation contributes to Cardinal Health Operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and automation equipment. May set up machining machines and make adjustments, and perform maintenance on machines. Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED required * A minimum of 2+ years related work experience required * Demonstrated success in managing people and leading a team * Strong communication skills What is expected of you and others at this level * Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of operations, or business support staff * Administers and executes policies and procedures * Ensures employees operate within guidelines * Decisions have a direct impact on work unit operations and customers * Frequently interacts with subordinates, customers and peer groups at various management levels * Interactions normally involve information exchange and basic problem resolution Accountabilities: * Managing the day to day production within assembly * Managing a team of up to 20-30 associates monitoring performance and production * Time keeping * Scheduling * Interviewing and selecting new hires * 5s or Lean Manufacturing experience preferred * Bachelor's preferred * Excel, Microsoft Outlook preferred Cardinal Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
