Event Planning Outreach Nonprofit Intern The Dream Builders Project - Los Angeles, CA Part-timeEstimated: $36,000 - $46,000 a year Save Skills * Event Planning The Dream Builders Project is looking for an Event Planning intern to join our passionate, driven team! This internship will provide you with real-world, hands on event planning experience in a nonprofit organization. We will teach you skills that are necessary in the event planning industry. The Dream Builders Project is a very unique charity and is very open to new ideas and concepts, allowing the individual to use their own experience and skills to have an impact on an organization that continues to make a genuine difference in Los Angeles and globally. An individual who has already built and fostered relationships with individuals in different industries in Los Angeles is a HUGE PLUS. We accept applications year round and hire on a rolling basis. We are flexible with school schedules but please note that this internship does require office hours Wednesday/Thursday from 11:30A-3:30P ONLY. *You MUST be in Los Angeles for this internship opportunity* The Dream Builders Project is an action-based Los Angeles charity that creates positive change in the community and inspires people to get involved and give back. During this internship, you will be assisting the team with our largest charity gala in March with 500+ VIP guests and red carpet. You will learn how to juggle planning multiple aspects of the event and maintain positive relations with supporters. For more information, visit: www.dbpla.org Responsibilities - Conduct research for donors (organizations, businesses, corporations, individuals etc.) - Reach out to potential & current sponsors as well as vendors and supporters - Coordinate meetings and calls - Network with your current and new contacts - Conducting research for donors (organizations, businesses, corporations, individuals etc.) - Updating excel docs and timelines - Answer e-mails and phone calls effectively - Work with the team on marketing, design, and outreach Requirements - Must be extremely organized - Excellent communication and networking skills - Excellent written skills - A positive team player - Calm under pressure - Comfortable reaching out to potential & current sponsors as well as vendors and supporters Job Types: Part-time, Internship Job Types: Part-time, Internship Experience: * Relevant: 1 year (Preferred) Location: * Los Angeles, CA 90038 (Preferred) Language: * English (Preferred) Work Location: * One location Working days: * Wednesday * Thursday Hours per week: * Less than 10 Typical start time: * 11AM Typical end time: * 3PM Internship Compensation: * College Credit Save
