ROLE of the POSITION The Internship Coordinator is responsible for oversight and implementation of graduate and undergraduate public health and healthcare administration internship programs, including the recruitment of internship partner sites and opportunities, assisting students with identifying and obtaining internships according to their individual interests, and supervision of student internship placements. The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge of the health care and/or public health sectors (government, academic, nonprofit, and industry) and job markets as well as ability to identify and cultivate relationships with community partners. This position reports directly to the Dean and will work directly with students, Department Chairs and faculty. Duties encompass the following: * Coordination of all onboarding requirements for all students * Teaching the undergraduate and graduate internship courses * Scheduling of site visits and dissemination of schedule * Career development for SPH students * Soliciting new internship opportunities for SPH * Coordination of the School's Job and Internship Fair * Developing, maintaining and managing student and preceptor handbooks and manuals * Assisting with accreditation requirements related to the internship programs QUALIFICATIONS This position requires a Masters' degree in Public Health or other related discipline such as Healthcare Administration or Counseling and Career Development from a regionally accredited college or university and 3 years related professional experience. A PhD degree in lieu of the 3 years of experience is also considered. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment. SALARY RANGE Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
