The function of this position is to provide support to the Myriad Genetics, Inc. Corporate Compliance & Privacy Department on its Policy & Procedure Synchronization Project which involves consolidating, standardizing, and updating policies from different subsidiaries into a unified policy repository. ***Part-time 20 hours a week***
Conduct research on specified compliance topics to identify industry best policy and procedures. Discuss findings and recommendations with department personnel. Incorporate final policies and procedures into standardized templates. Incorporate approved documents into repository. Other duties as assigned.
Demonstrated experience in conducting electronic research and the ability to synthesize results, present them in a logical manner, and produce a coherent work product for use by others. Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to identify, understand, and distill research results. Excellent writing skills and experience with Microsoft Word. Self-directed, attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and ability to work independently. The candidate must be able to fulfill their internship hours at Myriads corporate office in Salt Lake City within regular business hours, 8am-5pm. It is estimated this project will take up to three months on a part-time basis to complete. Hours per day and per week are flexible as long as the project is completed within a reasonable number of weeks (approximately 12). The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop; kneel; or crouch The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception.
