HR Intern Silver Eagle Distributors, L.P. - San Antonio, TX3.7 InternshipEstimated: $23,000 - $32,000 a year Save Education * Bachelor's Degree Skills * Excel * Microsoft Word * Microsoft Powerpoint * Microsoft Outlook Major Duties and Responsibilities: Assist employees with HR-related questions and provide creative solutions to resolve low level employee relations issues Perform data analyses to prepare HR metrics and update org charts on a weekly basis Prepare and maintain Service Award program, including delivery of awards to assigned managers Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR team, including but not limited to filing HR documents and preparing correspondence as requested Coordinate on-boarding of prospective new hire employees; including, communicating with candidates through the HRIS system for the pre-employment screening process to ensure successful integration for Day 1 orientation Assist with execution of new hire orientation Ensure all TABC applications for new hires and temporary employees have been received and completed in a timely manner Responsible for coordination of department meetings, including sending out agenda and meeting notices Keep employee electronic files and records up-to-date in the HRIS system (UltiPro), including scanning and attaching documents to employee files. Perform routine audits of files to verify accuracy and completeness of records. Perform other duties and projects as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Current student pursuing a bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field Prior experience in an HR function a plus Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Demonstrated proficiency in accomplishing goals and objectives Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality Highly motivated and willing to take initiative in all responsibilities Able to work 15-20 hours per week during school and 30-40 hours during breaks Working Conditions: This job operated in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines Work hours will vary daily due to business needs Physical Requirements: Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus). Performs light to medium work exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
