WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Logistics Analysts primary role is to provide customer service and transportation routing for Imports, Exports and Domestic transportation. This position is responsible to resolve issues regarding international and domestic shipments, load tendering, route optimization, billing and customs clearance.
Responds to broker inquiries needed for timely customs clearance.
Monitors Customs Broker performance and reports to Management as required.
Logistics Invoice Processing:
Ensures all bills are matched via Freight Tool. Analyzes totals and ensures proper GL coding.
Invoice receipt, audit and PO creation for transportation accounts that require internal monitoring. Resolves any billing discrepancies with carriers.
Reporting and Analysis:
Creates vendor specific Key Performance Indicator report monthly and presents to management.
Other data analysis as assigned by Management to support Logistics team goals.
Participation in Departmental Cost Savings projects as assigned by management.
Assigned end to end process improvement initiatives as part of PMP each year.
Responsible for utilizing Optimized Load Planning to reduce total freight spend.
Performs Inventory transactions in SAP such as receipts, blocking, work orders, and adjustments.
Monitors and responds to customer service requests as needed to ensure on-time shipment and invoicing.
Performs Logistics issue resolution including but not limited to rating errors, customer refunds, damage claims, scheduling containers, SAP shipping errors.
Support Physical Inventory for Field Sales force annually.
Order processing and customer service for non-standard Affiliates and MED dealers.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
A Bachelors Degree in related discipline is required.
A minimum of 1 year of related Supply Chain Management experience, preferably in Logistics.
General knowledge of US import compliance rules and regulations.
Intermediate working knowledge of SAP is preferred.
Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required.
