Lean Manufacturing Engineering Intern Greensboro , NC 27395 Are you looking for a paid internship or a temporary assignment? If so, we may have a great opportunity for you! Piedmont Aviation is seeking someone either pursuing a career as a Manufacturing Engineer or someone with experience. We estimate the duration of this assignment is 60 to 90 days. Here are the projects we need assistance with: Assist manufacturing engineers in the execution of continuous improvement and other projects in support of aerospace repair and overhaul facility. Specific tasks include the following: Design, prototype, and validate designs of tooling, fixtures, and associated parts. Develop, document, implement, and validate process controls, quality systems, and corrective actions within the AS9110 framework using Lean and Six Sigma toolsets. Build Bills of Material, order parts, develop specifications, and obtain part quotations. Develop reports and presentations for communication with all levels of management. The following are a plus: 3D solid modeling experience (inventor or similar),electrical and controls troubleshooting experience, project management, excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office products, data analysis and statistics.
