bull; In times of need, the Volunteer or Intern may be asked to complete related duties other than those indicated above as assigned by their supervisor.
If an Intern is providing clinical services to clients, the following functions are essential, in addition to the above:
bull; Develops a therapeutic relationship with each client. Provides individual, group or family therapy as needed. Available for clinical consultation.
bull; Maintains ongoing frequent contact with other assigned OhioGuidestone professionals, parents or outside agency professionals assigned to case. Provide CPST and minor case management functions if needed.
bull; Assumes a strong advocacy role for clients and makes recommendations for clinical and support services needed upon discharge.
bull; Actively participates in all treatment conferences and meetings for the clients.
bull; Completes all paperwork required by the agency within designated time frames.
bull; Participates in agency and community meetings as needed.
bull; Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
bull; Work environment can include an agency office, school based setting, or in the community including clients homes
bull; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
bull; English reading and writing skills required
bull; Interacts verbally with coworkers and representatives from outside agencies
bull; Confidentiality required
bull; Organizational skills and attention to detail
bull; Works flexible hours and is available for crisis management by phone
bull; Computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic database usage, as well as basic typing
Minimum education is working towards a Bachelorrsquo;s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field. Trainee status (CT, MFT-T, SWT) is required for Graduate level Clinical Internships. Agency physical and background check. Valid driver licenses, safe driving record and proof of insurance required.
