Mechanical Engineering Intern Astronics - Itasca, IL Full-timeEstimated: $40,000 - $56,000 a year Save Skills * Microsoft Powerpoint Summary Performs entry-level mechanical/structural component and installation design assignments required to support the installation design and certification of systems and equipment onboard commercial aircraft. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Review FAI reports and with assist in preparing Component Evaluation forms for the customer, this is an ongoing effort for both the existing programs. Update mechanical drawings for new projects in preparation for tool release. Prepare tool release packages (PDF, STEP file and PPT). Review DFMs for new tooling from suppliers. Update and maintain all fixture documentation (new and existing programs). Prepare and maintain Work Instructions (new and existing programs). Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
