Fall 2019 Intern - Data Management and Operations Support

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is offering a Fall Internship to a qualified candidate who will support Data Management and Analytics team. This paid Internship is a part-time temporary employment opportunity averaging 20-30 hours per week for a postgraduate student. PCORI does not provide housing for out of town residents. Pay Range and Employment Status:
Interns shall be classified as temporary, part-time employees who are hired as interim replacements, to temporarily supplement the workforce, or to assist in the completion of a specific project and who are temporarily scheduled to work less than PCORI's full-time schedule for a limited duration. Employment beyond any initially stated period does not in any way imply a change in employment status. Temporary, part-time workers are not eligible for PCORI benefits.
Current master's level and above students will be paid $20.00 per hour.
As part of the ongoing priorities of Program Support and Information Management under the direction of the Data Management and Analytics division, the intern will provide support for data validation, data analytics and reporting.
In addition to the projects listed below the intern will be expected to complete special projects as assigned. At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will present their accomplishments on the following projects.
-Assess the completeness and validity of Salesforce Contact and Account data. Identify areas and sources of duplication. Assess internal controls and permissions. Design and execute a data cleanup plan. Work across departments to identify business requirements. Recommend new data standards and procedures to ensure future data sources are maintained.
-Monitor changes in system data to identify inconsistencies across inputs and collaborate with business units to sanitize and adjust data. Recommend new business processes as necessary
-Organize and attend meetings across departments to assess data requirements and future data needs. Assess risks and make recommendations about new and actionable metrics to track and report.
-Provide support to ongoing reporting, including but not limited to, dashboards, FAC memos and ad hoc reports.
-Document methodology used in reports.

The Data Management and Analytics team is seeking a post-graduate intern currently working towards a degree in Business Administration or Information Science.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Technical knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with high attention to detail and accuracy
* High level of written and verbal communication
* Familiarity with Contract Administration
Applications for the PCORI Summer Internship Program will be accepted up to 5:00pm EST on Wednesday, July 24. Applicants who are chosen will be phone screened by PCORI Human Resources. In person interviews at PCORI with relevant intern supervisors will take place from August 5 - August 16.
