The mission of theOSUDepartment of Athletics is to Go Build Excellent, Authentic, Visionary Student� Athletes (GO B.E.A.V.S.). The Videographer 1 is responsible for all Football video collateral within the athletic department for delivery to producer. The employee will make independent decisions about choices regarding cuts and editing. The incumbent will give direction to student workers and other production agents as necessary. The Videographer 1 will be responsible for filming other non-sporting events or delegate others to film events as scheduled. -Position Duties -25%FILMING May work with multiple cameras (DVCPRO, P2,MINIDV, HD), tape and solid state media formats. Troubleshoots and performs basic maintenance on equipment. Shoots practices and games from a sideline, end zone and ground level perspective. May be in multiple locations requiring transportation to move equipment and personnel. 25%EDITING May work withXOSSports Pro/Thunder/Auto Ingest. Edits practices, games, cutups and clinics in an efficient, effective manner. Digitizes and edits content for practices, games and recruiting from multiple media formats. 15%VIDEOHARDWARE/SOFTWARESUPPORT Assists in the support of a 50+ client network, including software and hardware upgrades and implementation as related to video applications. Collaborates with IT staff to ensure video applications are in working order and are included in network setups/configurations and procedures. Supports Windows andMACproducts. 15%LEADERSHIP Provides leadership during practices and games. Assists in monitoring, training and recruiting students. Delegates and oversees projects accordingly. Develops and implements best working procedures. Troubleshoots issues in the field during practices and games. 15%HIGHLIGHTPRODUCTION Produces weekly highlight videos, recruiting videos,LOISigning Day videos, banquet videos and other miscellaneous videos as requested. 5%ARCHIVING Assists in the digital and analog archiving or all practices, games and opponent games. -Minimum Qualifications -Three years of television production videography experience. -Additional Required Qualifications -One (1) year of experience with video hardware/software in an athletic department at anNCAADivision I institution. A working knowledge on multiple cameras (DVCPRO, P2,MINIDV, HD), tape and solid state media formats. A working knowledge onXOSSports Pro/Thunder/Auto Ingest, as well as a working knowledge of network setups and procedures. Experience in supporting Windows andMACproducts. Experience inSQLServer. Experience digitizing and editing content for practices, games and recruiting from multiple media formats. The employee in this position will often be required to lift/carry/push/pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. -Preferred (Special) Qualifications -Bachelors degree in field of choice. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, stressful environment. Demonstrable effective communication skills. Experience with Final Cut Pro Suite, After Effects, and Photoshop. A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity. -Working Conditions / Work Schedule -May be required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. May perform work outside, in less than ideal weather conditions.
