Church Secretary - Part-time Wakefield Grace United Methodist Church - Bronx, NY 9 hours agoPart-timeEstimated: $23,000 - $29,000 a year Skills * Computer Skills * Transcription * Typing * Microsoft Office Job Title: Church Secretary Part time General Purpose: Provide administrative support to Pastor Education and experience: Typing with adequate speed and accuracy and transcribing ability Strong computer skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite Proficiency in use of office machines (copier, scan, fax machine, etc.); Organizational skills Good command of English composition, punctuation and ability to proofread documents. Other general expectations include: High levels of confidentiality Professional in appearance, work ethic, and accountability Willing to work at an appropriate pace within a variety of circumstances with composure and flexibility Self-starter, good at multi-tasking and prioritizing projects Ability to work independently without supervision General communication and record keeping: Distribute mail and correspondence to the Pastor Answering incoming calls Answering appropriate e-mails, phone messages and calls Type and edit weekly Church bulletin Keep accurate church records Assist in the compilation of annual Church Charge Conference Booklet Assist in the compilation of other church documents as instructed by the Pastor Office duties to include filing, organizing of folders and routine filing of paperwork.
