The Government Affairs Intern will support the government affairs team by researching, monitoring, and tracking federal and state legislation as well as coordinating advocacy initiatives. Responsibilities Responsibilities & Duties: Assist with the development of internal monitoring and information management systemsMonitor, review, and track health-related issues in state and national mediaMonitor, review, and track health-related legislation, policy, and regulations that could impact Envision Healthcare at both the state and federal levels Legislative, political, policy, and regulatory researchAssist with legislative, political, policy, and regulatory research, document updating, as well as legislative, regulatory, and policy summary draftingAttend and/or listen and report on policy meetings and callsAssist with the development of background materials Prepare state advocacy materials, fact sheets, PowerPoints, legislator biographies, state profiles, etc. for both short- and long-term advocacy projectsAnalyze bills to determine pertinent clauses to assist with establishing company positions and engagement strategyDraft issue updates and communicate those updates both orally and in written form to team membersProvide support services for the larger Government Affairs TeamRegular and reliable attendance is required.
