Coordinator, Marketing & Public Relations Salary $39,064.00 - $42,970.00 Annually Location 5901 College Road Key West, FL Job Type Full Time Division Advancement Job Number 00037 Description The Coordinator, Marketing and Public Relations is responsible for production and placement of college publications and promotional advertising utilizing various media channels including digital/social media, print, radio, and video. The Coordinator works collaboratively with college program directors, administrators and staff from various departments for the timely and accurate production of social media initiatives, view books, general information brochures, program brochures, advertisements, and other materials to promote the College. This position works to ensure that the College's website is current. The Coordinator is also responsible for media placement (buying) and expedition of billing, as well as internal tracking of budget expenses. Duties are performed under the general administrative supervision of the Director, Marketing and Public Relations. Examples of Duties Communicates mission, programs, and services for the college via digital advertising, social media, direct mail, print, radio, video, and video. Maintains the College's website including updating copy, images, and announcements Works with Director, Marketing and Public Relations to implement marketing strategies. Provides support to various college division directors and committees to promote programs and encourage student enrollment through digital, print, radio, video advertising as well as brochures, flyers, and the College's website. Designs and produces in-house media (print and electronic), including digital media, posters, brochures, and flyers. Assists with photographic and video documentation of College-related events. Participates in strategic planning and annual planning/budgeting process. Organizes and manages the development of outsourced publications. Designs artwork and purchases bulk marketing and promotional items for distribution. Required to attend commencement ceremonies. Assists in all College efforts as appropriate. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Knowledge of layout and development of digital media, brochures, publications, and webpages. Proficient in creative social media strategies. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public Ability to take quality photographs and videos. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to use graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), web management software, and iMovies. Ability to perform basic math calculations Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS : Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university. Two (2) years marketing, social media, graphic design and/or web design experience. (A comparable amount of training, education or experience can be substituted for the minimum qualifications.)
