Communication PR Manager Company: Cutwater Spirits Location: San Diego Posted on: July 6, 2019 Job Description: Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Communication/PR Manager to join our growing team. The Communication/PR Manager is accountable for coordinating strategic efforts to develop and grow engagement and awareness across the digital and traditional media ecosystem. They develop strategic media campaigns to drive brand storytelling, engagement and impressions within a variety of outlets. This position analyzes results against targets and leads the strategy and execution of all consumer-facing paid and owned social media. In addition, they are accountable for providing consistent and on-going content via all digital content channels. Responsibilities Include: Provide strategic communications, media counsel and oversight. Manage day-to-day communications external and internal, working with leadership and marketing teams. Develop and manage public relations, communications of initiatives and campaigns, and provide overall support to brand plans and initiatives. Create and maintain proactive local and national public relations plan to deliver stories (spirits, people, history, innovation) and support events. Manage social media including announcements, programs and influencer outreach. Conceptualize, write, and edit multi-media assets. Oversee Media/PR agency planning, spend and support. Manage the day-to-day execution of the social media strategy, including scheduling, posting, and community management on all current and other emerging social platforms. Build and oversee the monthly content calendar to plan optimized content for each platform and digital touchpoint. Develop deep understanding and ownership of brand voice and knowledge as it is represented digitally. Own the development and execution of social and digital media strategies against key initiatives including community building, fan growth, brand awareness, and advocacy. The right applicants will: Strategic thinker who is able to articulate the brand vision, as well as anticipate and identify consumer needs. Strong prioritization and decision-making skills, while maintaining excellent attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present in group environments. Analytical ability to translate data into actionable insights, must have solid understanding of social and digital analytics and reporting. Excellent understanding of digital marketing across key channels social & paid media. Have a keen eye for what makes good content, a passion for storytelling, and a strong creative drive. Solid news judgment and experience in working with news media and developing and maintaining relationships with reporters and influencers Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing or related field. 2-5 years relevant experience (preferred). Beverage industry or alcohol industry experience (preferred). Experience developing annual media planning, using variety of media channels. Experience managing external agencies.
