Thenincumbent will be the Data Manager for ongoing brain imaging studies,nresponsible for the primary management of data collection,norganization and transfer on these projects and communicating withncollaborators on-site and at our collaborating institutions. This person willnalso be expected to provide secondary support for scans and supervision ofnstudents involved in data collection.
Also, this person will provide secondary support for MRI scans in case ofntechnician unavailability. This includes preparing subjects for scanning,neducating subjects on the study procedures, and obtaining informed consent. Itnwill be necessary to teach subjects scanning procedures and functional MRIntasks. Our functional MR imaging is an interactive process in which the subjectnor patient performs a computerized task and provides experimental feedback.nPatients must be trained to perform the needed language, memory and navigationntasks, and to use the MR safe input devices before imaging. It will also bennecessary to operate MR, which requires an understanding of MR methodology. Thenincumbent will also be required to troubleshoot problems that might occur.
Some supervision of Research Assistants working on the project will be needed.nThe employee will have to provide training to SRAs and students on qualitynassurance and execution of data collection and transfer. Conducting weeklynsanity checks of data collected and interfacing with SRAs and students tontroubleshoot any issues that may arise will be necessary.
