HOURS OF WORK: Up to 25 hours per week between 7a-6p M-Th. This position is located at: Molasky Corporate Center 100 City Parkway, Suite 700, Las Vegas, NV 89106 INTRODUCTION: Human Resources will screen applications and materials requested in supplemental questionnaire. Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements will be forwarded to the hiring department for further review and to determine who will be interviewed. The successful candidate will be required to pass a drug screen and background check. GENERAL PURPOSE: Assist with climate change related studies. Responsibilities will include report preparation, post-processing data in Microsoft excel, and researching climate science, adaptation planning and implementation, as well as assisting the resources team with collecting and collating information from multidisciplinary interviews. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of climate science and adaptation, infrastructure design and design standards, have organization skills, be an independent worker, and willing to learn. Having an interest in sustainability, environmental issues and climate change is a plus. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Current enrollment Sophomore or higher, within an undergraduate or graduate degree program related to Climate Science, Geosciences, Hydrology, Environmental Studies, Engineering or Environmental Planning. * Current enrollment with a minimum of 9 credit hours per semester toward an undergraduate degree, at a local college or university. * Current enrollment with a minimum of 3 credit hours per semester toward graduate degree, at local college or university. * Available to work up to twenty-five hours per week Monday through Thursday. * A Valid Drivers license. * US citizenship or legal right to work in the US, including authorization to work off campus.
