Special Events Intern II Regions Hospital - Saint Paul, MN4.1 10 hours agoPart-timeEstimated: $29,000 - $39,000 a year Apply Now Save Skills * Public Relations * Word Processing * Event Planning * Project Management SUMMARY: This positions primary function is to work collaboratively with the Annual Giving Officer Special Events with planning, execution and follow-up for all special events with major emphasis on The Wine Auction. Other events include Ancker Nurses Reunion, Alzheimers Breakfast, BurnAid Golf Classic and Business & Community Leader Breakfasts. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Current college student or recent college graduate from a four-year accredited university with a major in communications, marketing or public relations preferred. Experience: Experience in special event planning and project management, preferably at a nonprofit organization or foundation. Experience preferred in philanthropic activities or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated success in coordinating special events and project management Working knowledge of funding community Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of donors and the ability to work in a team environment Strong computer skills: database management, word processing, spread sheet and presentation applications Possess tact, diplomacy Ability to organize and coordinate a variety of projects and activities simultaneously Ability to handle multiple tasks Strong attention to detail and deadline oriented Self-motivated and results oriented Licensure/Registration/Certification: Nothing required.
