Who were looking for: We are looking for a candidate available for an internship within the ICF Next team. Design interns will be involved in research and design development for infographics/data visualization, presentation development, and UX design for our Fortune 500 clients. Interns work closely with the entire ICF Next Strategy & Transformation team to brainstorm and execute design projects. What youll get to do: Work on a variety of projects and workstreams to gain an understanding of client needs Utilize graphic design experience for both internal and client projects Use design thinking principles to assist with the creation of client deliverables Participate in brainstorm sessions with other designers and consultants What youll need to succeed: Interest in design for communications functions Excellent understanding and skill in the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, XD) Experience with data visualization and infographics Understanding of print production processes Experience and understanding of UX design principles (although, no coding experience is required) Ability to visually communicate effectively Ability to manage time and multiple responsibilities in order to establish realistic production schedules and meet deadlines Self-start with the ability to work independently as well as on a team Desire to continue to learn Must be comfortable receiving minimal guidance using research, previous examples, design principles, and creativity to execute high quality work on a tight timeline. Education and minimum qualifications: Bachelors degree or working towards a Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, PR, Marketing or related field Internship details: Start Date: September 2019 (Flexible) End Date: December 2019 (Flexible) Hours: 25-35 hours per week $15 / hour ICF is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
