Summer Intern - Undergraduate Cleveland Avenue Chicago, IL POSITION OVERVIEW The Cleveland Avenue intern experience is a 10-week full-time summer immersion opportunity geared toward undergraduate experiences for emerging leaders. These unique opportunities provide real work experiences with expected outcomes that have a true long-term impact on the organization. Project work is developed in coordination with the functional leader based on the departments deliverables. Each intern experience includes team based work and individual assessments. Exposure to senior level leaders is a key part of the CA experience. Undergraduate Level Internship experiences are available in the following departments * Marketing and Communications * Operations and Supply Chain * Information Technology * Restaurants and Events * Consulting Intern will learn, and be exposed to: * Inner-workings of private equity firm focused on the food and beverage industry * Participation in team-based project * Ownership of value-added function specific individual project work with real business impact * Opportunity to present learnings and recommendations to senior leadership team * Participation in company sponsored community service project * Participation in regular staff meetings and events ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITES * Completion of individual technical function-specific project deliverable. (Specific Projects determined by needs of department at the time of internship) * Participation in group CA Intern Project: Starting and sustaining a food and beverage business with community impact * Final presentation of CA Intern Team Project to senior leadership team including learnings, challenges and outcomes. * Provide written feedback summary of CA internship experience with recommendations for go forward experience. * Attend CA team meeting and department meetings and events. * Other duties as assigned. CORE COMPETENCIES * Thriving in Ambiguity * Excellent written communication * Valuing Team and Community * Continuous Learning * Problem Solving POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications * Currently enrolled in 4-year degree program from accredited university * Major relevance to area of interest * Demonstrated team or leadership experience * Proficient in microsoft office suite or similar software Awesome Extras * Demonstrated formal leadership role in school, outside organization or another team experience. * A love for food and beverage with fun and surprising culinary interests.
