Job Type : Permanent Back to Results Email Job to a Friend Find Similar Jobs Job Location : Chattanooga (37416) - Tennessee, United States Job Salary : Competitive Main Industry : Information Technology Other Industries and Skills : Human Resources Media Employer : Volkswagen Group of America, Inc Advertiser : Volkswagen Group Of America, Inc Posted On : 09 July 2019 08/08/2019 Job Description : VW Two letters Endless opportunities 13; The internship program at Volkswagen Group of America Chattanooga Operations is intended to provide college / university students and recent graduates the opportunity to use and develop skills they have learned in the classroom by working at our state-of-the-art production facility, and to provide Volkswagen Chattanooga the opportunity to develop talent for potential future entry-level positions The Graphic Design & HR Programs Intern position is intended to be a full time position (40 hours/week) Candidates will be expected to be available to work during normal business hours (Monday - Friday; exact hours will vary by position and some positions might require work on Saturdays) To be eligible for the internship program, candidates are required to be enrolled at an accredited post-secondary educational institution, or have graduated from one within the 6 months prior to the start date of the internship Candidates who do not meet this guideline will not be considered This position will start on January 7th, 2019 and end on May 17th, 2019 Applications for later terms will not be accepted at this time 13; Summary 13; The HR Programs & Graphic Design Intern will be responsible for assisting the HR Program Specialist with compiling marketing material and designs related to company engagement initiatives and general administrative and project support 13; Responsibilities 13; * Supports the HR Program Specialist in the development and delivery of all internal marketing and graphic design tools, including but not limited to websites, print media, product design, displays and productions * Coordinates marketing design projects, collaborating with multiple departments * Designs and develops product brand identity * Plans concepts by studying relevant information and materials * Illustrates concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size and style and submitting them for approval * Prepares finished art by operating necessary equipment and software * Coordinates with outside vendors, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary * Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing tasks that align with and promote the Company's culture management goals (eg Diversity and Inclusion) * Creates a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites with software such as Photoshop * Reviews final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary * Engages in continuous process improvement efforts in the area of marketing and communication * Performs other job-related duties and works on special projects as assigned 13; Qualifications 13; Required: Bachelor's degree or pursuing Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, or a related discipline Specialized Skills: -Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign Quark, and Illustrator -Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines -Flexible Schedule -Prior experience developing marketing material for mass audiences -Prefer a candidate proficient in typography, color, and composition -Prior experience as a graphic designer or in a related field General Skills: -Communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and written -Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) -Analytical and conceptual thinking - using logic and reason, creative and strategic thinking -Integration - joining people, processes or systems -Computer savvy - skilled in the use of software -Resource and time management -Problem-solving; being able to solve problems effectively and efficiently -Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail -Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skillsets 13; Scope and Magnitude 13; 13;
