Supply Chain Internship (Fall 2019) Jobs Operations & Business Affairs Salt Lake City, UT, USA 10 Hourly Seasonal Work Location Corporate Office - 57 W South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84101 Position Description The supply chain internship at Deseret Book is no ordinary internship. What we are offering--apart from your hourly wage--is something that will jumpstart your career: real experience. As a paid intern, you'll learn how to monitor in-stock status and product availability for sales locations and review trends and in-stock status regularly with Supply Chain Director. You'll also have the opportunity to follow up on open orders to ensure timely receipt of ordered products, run backorder reports and help with backorder follow-up, ensure fulfillment of customer special orders, create purchase orders, analyze sales trends to manage product replenishment, develop and improve technical skills to perform analysis quickly and efficiently, and execute returns and markdowns as specified by the Category Manager. Required Skills Applicants should be undergraduate students (preferably in junior or senior level of coursework) in business management majors with an emphasis or background in supply chain management. Must be creative, innovative, and team oriented with strong analytical skills. Must be proficient in the Microsoft Suite, especially Excel, including spreadsheet development, maintenance/pivot tables, and V-lookups. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and schedule demands. Additional Information This is a paid internship opportunity ($10/hr; non-negotiable) that takes place at our office in downtown Salt Lake City. It requires approximately 40 hours per week during regular business hours for 15 weeks, starting on September 3, 2019 and ending on December 13, 2019.
