Fall Digital Media Intern Harris County - Houston Sports Authority - Houston, TX3.6 Full-timeEstimated: $20,000 - $27,000 a year Save Skills * Adobe InDesign * Sports Marketing * Adobe Photoshop ABOUT HCHSA Over the last 22 years, HCHSA has become the sports marketing agency for the city of Houston and Harris County. With that, HCHSA is responsible for bidding on and attracting new sporting events to the Houston area, as well as overseeing the marketing and operation of those events once awarded. These events range in size, scope and sport each year; allowing us to reflect the varying interests of our community. DIGITAL MEDIA INTERN POSITION OVERVIEW The Harris County Houston Sports Authority is seeking well-rounded students looking to excel in the sports industry. Our Digital Media Intern will have an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and hands on experience in the sports and event industry during the semester. The internship will consist of preparing for various events that will be hosted in Houston, to include: Battle of the Bands National Championship, September 1 Gateway to Gold, October USA BMX Nationals, October 25-27 Houston Sports Awards, February The Digital Media Intern will receive hands on experience working alongside the Events Team. Areas of concentration: Participate in meetings and events Produce graphics for both web and print platforms Develop and maintain social media plans Social media research and activation Track Marketing Analytics via Google Analytics and various platforms Create and update website content on multiple sites On-site event support to include set-up and teardown QUALIFICATIONS Eligible candidates must be enrolled as a full-time college/university student and receive course credit. Applicant must be available for a minimum of 35 hours per week; during event dates; work long days including some weekends and evenings. Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, work outdoors and stand for long periods of time.
