Editorial Assistant, Acquisitions (L-20-19, L-21-19) Rowman & Littlefield - Lanham, MD4.0 1 day agoFull-timeEstimated: $36,000 - $49,000 a year Apply Now Education * Bachelor's Degree Rowman & Littlefield is seeking an Editorial Assistant to support our Acquisitions Editors. Duties include tracking proposal and manuscript submissions, preparing materials for the editorial board, managing databases, conducting market research, corresponding with authors, acting as a liaison between authors and other departments as needed, securing peer reviews and endorsements, and preparing manuscripts for transmittal to the production department. This is a challenging position handling more than one hundred books published per year. The position is based in our Lanham, MD headquarters. Requirements: Candidates should have a bachelors degree in English or related field. Previous publishing experience preferred. This fast-paced position requires strong organizational, writing, editing, and communication skills; attention to detail; familiarity with standard office software applications; and multitasking capability in a busy office environment.
