Then this full-time, entry-level designer position at The Frederick News-Post might be the job for you. Responsibilities Think creatively to develop new design concepts and layouts. Work highly efficiently in a deadline-driven environment with managers, sales staff and customers. Design print and digital collateral and publications in Adobe Creative Cloud software, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat in a Mac OS production environment. Work as part of a team with graphic designers and newspaper advertising representatives. Requirements: Demonstrable graphic design skills showing creativity, originality and versatility Up to date on industry software and technologies Able to communicate clearly with team members Able to multitask and work quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines Dependable and professional Able to work directly and effectively with customers While a creative flair will be helpful, and we can train you on the principles of ad design, you should already know basic design principles.Hours are Monday through Friday, though some flexibility will be required.
