Job Summary: Nursing Apprentice ---Pediatric Unit--
The Apprentice Nurse (NAP) functions under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs delegated basic nursing functions. Performs those tasks which he/she has successfully demonstrated in his/her program of education and has validated in the facility.-- Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development over life span and possesses ability to collect data reflective of patient status and report to registered nurse.-- Provides care needed as described in department policies and procedures as defined in the State of Nevada Nurse Practice Act.-- Completes a competency skills checklist within 3 months of employment.Qualifications margin-left:0in;line-height:normal;text-autospace:none"> Note:--Please complete the onlineassessment that was sent to your e-mail upon submission of your employmentapplication. --If you do not see this in your regular, e-mail please checkyour spam folder.
* Graduate from high school or high school equivalent program; a high level of math and reasoning is required. --
* Currently enrolled and achieving passing grades in an accredited Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
* Must be ready to ready to take NCLEX exam within six months to one year.
* Current Basic Life Support.--NOTE:--All candidates who submit application must complete online assessment that will be sent to e-mail address on application (please check spam folder)--EXPERIENCE:Patient care experience to include infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics as appropriate to area of practice.--TESTING:Pass National League of Nursing ---Nursing Assistant in Acute Care Setting--- test.
