Assignments include photography, live band coverage, fashion receptions, nightlife, art openings and Philly events. While working closely with the Editorial department, primary-learning experiences will include: � How to develop multiple social media accounts while maintaining a unique voice on each platform � How to work in a fast paced team oriented environment � How to manage and maintain multiple social media projects and accounts The ideal candidate must be reliable, a people person, detail-oriented, and adaptable possessing a strong passion for learning, storytelling and creating. This is a fast paced, and demanding position. Communication is 24/7. Email, text messages and phone calls must be answered if you fill this position. Responsibilities Our Social Media Manager supports the editorial team. Essentially labeled "Air Traffic Control", the SMM is responsible for the following: � Responsible for developing social media traffic, ensuring all content for our social media outlets, shares published stories, includes hashtags, retweets, and tags accordingly � Ensure all website posts are shared and distributed correctly to all social medias, publishing live event coverage, attends all meetings, fact checking, and overall social management � Responsible for sharing stories and providing commentary when necessary Additional responsibilities includes: attending events, participating in the planning, or research of content, providing input and suggestions, ensuring all deadlines and standards are upheld within Main Course. Constant communication through social media, email and phone is necessary. Tweet Chat Tuesday: Bi-weekly social media interactive. We interview guests live using a hashtag specifically for our conversation. Attendees must use the hashtag to participate (ask a questions, spark discussion). -Assist with designing questions -Research guests -Design language for social media posts of Tweet Chat Tuesday -Help enhance Tweet Chat Tuesday -Prep write up + Post write up (summary) of the live interview Requirements � Must be pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, or mass comm, however we are open to all degree types � Must have working knowledge of Twitter, Facebook/Page, LinkedIn, and Instagram � Must know how to work on a team of 5-20 people, take instruction and direction, schedule posts, social media experience in management and effective research skills � Must be able to work alone, remotely and in a group � Must have reliable transportation, able to work up to 10-20 hours per week and attend monthly and other required meetings as scheduled. Knowledge of pop culture is a plus, but not required.
