Intern-Safety Job Locations US-GA-ATLANTA Posted Date 6 hours ago (7/12/2019 12:03 PM) Requisition ID 2019-4385 Job Family Administrative Closing Date 7/19/2019 Position Type Part Time Hourly/Salary Hourly Overview The Intern-Corporate Safety is a competitive, paid internship opportunity based in Atlanta, Georgia. This position supports the Safety Department and gains hands-on experience supporting all programs and elements associated with aviation safety for a Part 121 flag carrier. The intern will be directly responsible for analyzing safety data, gaining hands-on experience in monitoring and evaluating flight safety information, and contribute to ExpressJets Safety Management System. The successful candidate will practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. Responsibilities Monitor and evaluate flight safety information Analyze safety data Process reports and data Review processes that monitor operational culture Qualifications Enrolled in a degree seeking program, preferably with a focus in an Aviation Safety discipline or Aviation Operations discipline Communicate information effectively, verbally and written, and they are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams Exemplify ExpressJets values of trust, integrity, and respect Further a professional image by conveying this appearance to all levels of associates Trustworthy when handling sensitive information and associated risk Have a strong command of Microsoft Office Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship Be able to pass a background review: DOT Background / criminal history / reference check / fingerprints Additional Information 28 hour work week Flight benefits on United Airlines Jumpseat on ExpressJet operated flights
