The CWHR provides women, their families, andhealth care providers with the information they need to make informed healthdecisions and is developing scientists and attracting new minds to the field ofwomens health and sex/gender differences research. Working closely with the CWHR team,the Communications Specialist will be responsible for managingimplementation of CWHRs strategic communications plan, including social media, website, newsletter, public relations and mediacoverage, storytelling, presentations, conferences, events, and tracking andreporting on the effectiveness of communications efforts. The Communications Specialist will be part ofthe CWHR team working under the Deputy Director and collaborating with the CUAdvancement and Communications teams. ** ** **Examples of Work Performed**: 1\. ImplementCWHR Strategic Communications Plan * Manage the development, implementation, and coordinationof internal and external communications * Ensure that the CWHR brand guidelines are followed andcore messages used effectively throughout marketing and communications channelsand materials * Maintain the editorial calendar for all communicationsactivities, including a content calendar and social media calendar * Maintain contact databases for media and communicationsactivities * Develop visual assets for communications channels * Manage and track social media budget * Track the effectiveness of reach and engagement via allcommunications channels; monthly reporting of reach and engagement; andidentify opportunities to grow reach and increase engagement 2. Developand manage social media and email communications * Implement and manage the social media channels and emailplatform * Implement recommendations from the CWHR social mediaaudit * Manage implementation of guidelines and protocols, aswell as the social media content calendar * Manage and design paid advertising campaigns * Monitor and measure effectiveness * Organize & segment email marketing lists, designemail campaigns for targeted audiences 3. Develop,write, and communicate CWHR news and stories: * Identify, create, and communicate stories to illustrate the CWHRs mission andimpact and to market events * Connect with CWHR researchers, faculty, and supporters toidentify and develop story ideas * Produce a quarterly newsletter * Produce bi-weekly updates for key CWHR stakeholders * Increase reach to audiences beyond attendees by utilizingmulti-media channels to share learnings and highlight activities in a timelymanner * Review, revise, and periodically create new materials tointroduce, promote, or share the impact of CWHR 4\. Maintainwebsite * Manage website content, look, and functionality * Monitor and measure website use and effectiveness 5. Marketand promote events * Manage marketing communications and registration for allevents * Digital recruitment of event participants using a fullrange of traditional and new media, including but not limited to electronicadvertising, event marketing, website content management, integrated SEO anddirect marketing, and the ability to analyze and evaluate tactics * Represent CWHR at professional and community events, as directed 6\.
