Marketing Assistant Child Abuse Prevention Council - Stockton, CA3.5 Full-timeEstimated: $39,000 - $51,000 a year Save Education * Bachelor's Degree Skills * Public Relations * Microsoft Word * Driver's License * Microsoft Access * Microsoft Office Definition of Classification: Under the supervision of the Marketing/Development Director, this position supports the Director in a number of activities. This staff member will assist in implementing of a variety of communication programs through events and campaigns that effectively promote the CAPC and its services. These events and/or campaigns are strategically scheduled throughout most of the calendar year and there are critical time deadlines that must be met. This position is responsible for creating, designing and delivering print media and coordinating promotions or campaigns to ensure maximum exposure to the public. This staff member must demonstrate strong organizational & communication skills and the ability to resolve business issues and/or problems in a professional manner. Will require occasional evening and weekend work. Description of Duties: Create artwork for flyers, brochures, etc. Update CAPC social media sites. Meet with CAPC Foundation and Auxiliary as needed. Meet with other agency supporters, partners and donors. Do public presentations for small to large sized crowds. Oversee Volunteer Coordinator projects and events. Promote and maintain a sense of teamwork between CAPC and all related organizations. Represent the agency in a consistently professional manner, always modeling a commitment to the agencys Mission. Network with other community agencies and participate when requested, in community and health fairs and other events designed to promote the agency. Other duties, both program specific and CAPC related, as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must be a skilled written and oral communicator.? Must bring a positive and energetic attitude, and a high degree of professionalism at all times. Education: Bachelors Degree in Marketing or a related field is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the public relations field or in a related area. Knowledge of: Marketing, event planning, fundraising. Ability to: Gather and analyze data; organize and write reports, express oneself clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; establish and maintain working relationships with others; present oneself professionally. Technical Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher). Condition of Employment: Employee shall be required to provide a T.B. clearance (checked every two years), submit fingerprints for Department of Justice Clearance, and provide annually, a DMV record report compliant with the Agencys liability insurance requirements. Employee must have a car, a valid drivers license, and proof of automobile insurance. Employee must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with clients and co-workers in a compassionate, non-discriminatory, non-judgmental manner. Position is dependent on continued funding and is an at-will position. Available to work on evenings and weekends as required by supervisor. Physical Demands: In order to perform the job duties associated with this position, the employee is regularly required to use his/her hands to finger, handle, grasp objects, tools and/or controls. The ability to talk, sit, stand, walk, and hear well is necessary. The employee may also be required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, or crouch. On occasion, the employee may be required to lift and/or move 25 pounds. Visual ability to judge distance, color, focus, and see peripheral objects is also necessary.
