SUMMARYOF POSITION:This is a part-time, non-benefited position that works home volleyball and basketball events during the academic year. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for assisting the Athletics department with evening/weekend operations of the concession area when needed. DUTIES: -Provides sales and customer service which includes greeting customers, preparing and selling convenience food items during evening/weekend hours. -Maintains good public relations while working with faculty, staff and customers. -Handles monetary functions including cash security. -Handles light bookkeeping/inventory duties by creating and maintaining reports of cash received against food and beverage items sold. -Maintains supplies and overall cleanliness for the concession area (which includes cleaning and upkeep of equipment) after each shift. -Maintains cleanliness of concession area which includes making sure it is stocked with pop, assorted candies, chips, popcorn, etc. -Performs other duties as required or assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: Required: -Two years of retail, food service and/or customer service experience. -Knowledge and skill in handling money including making change. -Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated positive customer service skills, and ability to relate to people of varying ages and backgrounds. -Good computer software skills email and the ability to punch-in online. -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail -Ability to work independently. -Ability to lift up to 40 pounds (essential function).Preferred: -More than two years of related retail, food service or customer service experience.APPLICATIONINFORMATION & DEADLINE: This position will remain on the website until filled.
