Position: Business Information Developer Consultant
Location: Richmond or Norfolk, VA-Remote
Responsible for analyzing, reporting and developing recommendations on data related to complex and varied Utilization Management business operational performance metrics. May also provide technical assistance to lower level staff.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
� Collection and analysis of data from numerous source systems to create and maintain in a SQL reporting database warehouse.
� Create operational performance monitoring reports with a summary dashboard view and detailed supporting reports.
� Analyzes data and summarizes operation performance using summary statistical procedures.
� Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for provider portal data, clinical and non-clinical utilization management data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
� Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.
� This job is focused on complex and varied operational performance metrics, and may entail creating design artifacts in addition to development.
� May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
� The majority of time will be spent programming.
Requires a BS/BA degree; 5-7 years related experience; any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
SQL/SSRS and Advanced Excel skills required.
Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is required. Proven experience with and ability to manipulate large sets of data.
Strong analytical, organizational, presentation and problem-solving skills required. healthcare experience required, preferably in Utilization Management (clinical and non-clinical authorization data, provider portal data and claims data).
This job is more focused on higher level technical expertise, mentoring staff in lower job levels.
