Senior Consultant - Upstream Houston , TX 77020 Job Description: Solomon, the leading performance improvement company for the global energy industry, is seeking candidates for a Senior Consultant to support Comparative Performance Analysis (CPA) and Advisory Services (AS) projects in the upstream sector. The Senior Consultant will be responsible for project management, maintaining technical integrity of those CPA and AS projects for which they are responsible. The Senior Consultant will be also responsible for providing subject matter expertise related to upstream performance management and field operations, collaborating with other team members. The Senior Consultant is expected to commit to travel (domestic and international) up to 25% of the time. The Senior Consultant will report to the Senior Vice President of Upstream Services in Solomon's UK office. Houston is an optional location. Qualifications Education Required: * Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering Preferred: * Master of Business Administration Work Experience Required: * 15 years in upstream oil and gas process operations, including production, maintenance, and reliability, including operations leadership in the economics and planning department Preferred: * 20+ years in upstream operations, experience as an operations manager or higher, experience with managing assets * Expert on upstream oil/gas recovery processes, advanced database skills Technical Skills * 20+ years in upstream operations, experience as an operations manager or higher, experience with managing assets * Proficient in Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Skills in project budgeting, scheduling, and resourcing Non-Technical Skills Required: * Must have good facilitation skills, presentation skills, articulate, and understand world cultures * Willing to travel and participate on consulting assignments at domestic and overseas client facilities * Ability to present and provide insightful analysis up to and including the C Suite of multinational companies and federal-level governmental agencies Preferred: * Ability to speak a foreign language * Must enjoy performing analytical analysis for long periods of time * Ability to interface with multiple levels in client organizations * Knowledge of benchmarking processes and has used the Solomon studies to implement performance improvement Other Travel 25% of the time Employment Type Full Time Additional Information We are an equal opportunity employer.
