Executive Assistant To Deputy Director Phoenix , AZ 85002 ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES WWW.AZWATER.GOV Executive Assistant to Deputy Director Directors' Office The Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR) is the steward of Arizona's water future and ensures long-term, reliable water supplies to support the continued economic prosperity of the State. ADWR is continually protecting Arizona's water supplies for its next century. The ADWR's Director's Office is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director. JOB SUMMARY The ideal candidate will enthusiastically support the vision and mission of ADWR and possess the personal qualities of integrity and reliability. The candidate will have the proven ability to work with executives, to accomplish multiple tasks and to keep multiple projects organized and progressing. The selected candidate must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity. The Executive Assistant must be organized and detail oriented. The position requires the ability to collaborate with agency staff, other governmental entities and stakeholders, and to facilitate communication within the agency and with external entities. The selected applicant will present themselves in a professional manner at all times and will represent ADWR internally and to external partners. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs) Knowledge of: * The State of Arizona government structure and familiarity with communication protocols within state government and with the private sector * Appropriate levels of safeguarding, protecting, and releasing information Skills In: * Use of standard business computer applications * Problem solving and managing high level projects * Prioritizing and determining level of urgency of phone calls, emails, visitors, etc. * Organization Ability to: * Perform complex administrative and secretarial duties such as preparing correspondence, arranging meetings with high profile figures, preparing agendas, drafting minutes, and ensuring that follow up actions are documented and tracked * Communicate effectively, clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, including strong skills in editing, report writing and preparing correspondence * Interact successfully with staff members from various levels of the organization, promoting mutual respect and effective communication * Work with materials of a confidential nature and maintain confidentiality; * Conduct research and perform analysis on special topics as assigned COVER LETTER REQUIREMENTS First resume review will be on Monday, July 8, 2019.
