Director of Admissions (Thomas Goode Jones School of Law) -Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve asDirector of Admissionsfor the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. The selected candidate will be responsible for the formulation and execution of a comprehensive plan to attract J.D. students to the law school. The position also manages a multi-million dollar operating and scholarship budget. The position requires a positive and forward thinking professional who is excited to take ownership over a critical aspect of the Law School's operations. In addition to supervising all Admissions Office activities and personnel, the candidate selected will represent the law school at recruitment fairs, forums, and panels, counsel students regarding the admissions process, and develop and implement strategies for recruiting and yielding prospective students. This person reports directly to the Dean of the law school. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ. This is a full-time (40+ hours per week), 12-month position. Summary of Duties: -Responsible for the selection, motivation, observation and evaluation of all departmental personnel -Review and process applicant files; inform Admissions Committee and the Dean on the status of the incoming class -Serve as a liaison with the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) -Contact and counsel prospective students; visit colleges and universities to recruit prospective students -Attend recruiting events such as law school forums hosted by LSAC and university graduate school fairs -Forge and maintain relationships with pre-law advisors, college professors, and other influencers who may refer prospective students to the law school -Utilize ACES2 (Admission Communication & Exchange System) database and LSAC services to identify and recruit prospects and to communicate with prospective and admitted students -Assist in maintaining the Law School's website and social media presence; develop promotional, recruiting materials and communications for the Law School -Serve as a liaison between students and other departments; possess a strong commitment to student development, be supportive of student diversity, and work to sustain and advance the University's institutional values -Coordinate on-campus events and tours for new and prospective students and applicants; work closely with student organizations to involve them in recruiting -Oversee the maintenance of departmental records and files (electronic and hard copy) -Assist in the planning and implementation of an Open House for admitted applicants -Assist with new student orientation Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution required; J.D. from an ABA-approved law school strongly preferred -Prior experience with J.D. recruiting and admissions at an ABA-approved law school strongly preferred; other experience in higher education administration will be considered -Comfortable working with quantitative data, social media, and ACES2
