The Mechanical EI (EIT) assists in the production of projects that are on-time, within budget and the utmost quality.*?Essential Functions of the Mechanical Engineer Intern (EIT)** Under the supervision of a licensed professional Mechanical Engineer (P.E.), performs mechanical evaluations and system calculations including load calculations, ventilation schedules, etc.; and, contributes to the final project client proposal.* Interacts and coordinates with facility owners, clients, and/or architects as needed either independently or with a staff/project manager; and may prepare project narratives, proposals, meeting notes, or production schedules to support the timely and accurate delivery of completed projects.* Conducts site surveys to determine existing facility conditions either independently or with a staff/project manager.* Assists the design team in the coordination with other disciplines* Accompanies staff/project manager in performing project job site visits during construction to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications, owner expectations, and building codes. Assist in preparing punch lists and project observations reports to note findings.*Education and Experience** Requires a Degree in Mechanical Engineering.EI (EIT) Certification* 1+ years of Intern, Co-Op, or mechanical design experience for an engineering or architectural/engineering design firm.?Bernhard is an equal employment opportunity employer.
